Derek got back yesterday from being in Colorado for 9 days...yes 9!!!! I don't know how we all survived but we did. By day 3, my kids were so sick of me and I had to think of something different for them to do. Mason had been bugging me for days to make sailor hats out of newspaper. I guess he'd seen it on Noggin or something. They played with these for hours! Who doesn't like cheap entertainment???

how'd you make the hats? Anything they play with for more than 5 minutes is worth it to make. Glad you survived. I can't imagine what being a single parent would be like.
Oh, I had to google how to make them...LOL! And after I saw how easy they were I felt pretty lame!!
We spend TONS of money on toys that they barely play with and then you make them hats out of newspaper and they play with it for hours! What the heck? I love Reese's backpack :)
the kids look adorable in their hats! Brian used to have me make him "king hats" all the time. I never minded as it was very easy and the crown gave him the illusion of total power. I heard that the guys did really well in Colorado. Very cool! Take care!
