Oh no you didn't!

It's a good thing I don't spank (very often).

Mason: I want to play my DS (video game).
Me: Okay..
Mason: I can't find my game.
Me: It's in my purse upstairs and I don't feel like going up and getting it.
Mason: Get it riiiiiight nowwwwww!! 5,4,3,2...
Me: Are you kidding me right now?
Mason: What? You say it all the time to me.

What have I created?????

One step forward

Here is a video of Reese walking. She actually took her first steps on her birthday, but she is getting it down better the last couple weeks. You are more then welcome to mute the sound. We (myself and Mason) get really excited when she walks. I'm really embarrassed of my fat voice. This is actually a toned down version of me getting excited because I knew it would be on tape. Oh and you can enjoy Mason doing some "exercising" for his game, which isn't till the middle of June.

Hannah's Headbands

A big THANK YOU to my fellow blogging friend Hannah for making Reese these adorable headbands!

I had always admired the headbands her daughter Laney wore and I finally got up the guts and asked if she would make me one for Reese's first birthday. Even with her two little ones and pregnant with her 3rd, she made me 4!!!! I love all of them. I get compliments all the time. I also get "Oh, where did you get her headband?", followed by "does she sell them online?" followed by "well she should, I would buy them!"

Thanks again Hannah!

Check up

Reese had her 12 month check up last Friday and I've been meaning to put up her stats. She weighs 20lbs 14oz - 50%(she only gained 13 oz from her 9 month), she was 30 inches - 80% and I can't remember what her head was but I think it was 75%. Dr Eichner said she is very healthy!

She took her first few steps on her birthday and is mastering it this week. I've been trying to upload a video of her walking but it won't and it's frustrating me so I'm going to let Derek do it. I don't have a lot of patience for technology (or for anything really).

Reesie's Party

Here are a bunch of pictures from Reese's party that we had Friday night. I think it turned out pretty good. We had yummy food from Azteca Mexican Restaurant and a yummy ice cream cake. I think a BBQ would have been more appropriate considering it was 85 degrees, but everyone loved the party platters! Reesie got lots of new toys, books and clothes. Thanks to everyone who came! We're so glad you could share this fun day with us!!

Reese and Mason really liked the M&M's on her cake! This is as messy as she got. She was DONE by the end of the night and crashed with in minutes of getting out of her high chair.

Sweet Baby Reese

HAPPY BIRTHDAY REESE!!!
Seriously, I can't believe Reesie is 1! She has brought so much joy and happiness to our lives I could never put it into words. Just thinking about her makes me smile. I honestly can't imagine my life with out her, or even what it was like before she was born. When I first found out I was pregnant with her, I thought I would have liked a little boy so that Mason would have someone to play with. I now realize having a girl is exactly what this family needed. They play so good together and he is so protective of her. Here are some pictures from a year ago today (and the day after).

It was 80 degrees the day she was born. The hospital wasn't really expecting it because it was about 90 degrees in our room. That and pushing out a baby it felt like 100. That is why Reese wasn't swaddled...it was so dang hot! I love how modest she was when she was being weighed!

I'm happy to say that I am sixty pounds lighter now then I was in that picture. I packed on the weight big time while I was pregnant with this sweet little girl. It was totally worth it!

Snotty Nose

Reese has been on her antibiotic for a few days now for her double ear infection. She now has a runny nose, but she's a lot happier. She kind of got this cold backwards. Usually it's a runny nose and then the infection. Oh well...I just hope she's better for her birthday on Thursday!

Helping the Economy

Mason got a Leapster today at Fred Meyer. Nope, it's not his birthday. He's just spoiled. He thinks it's a Nintendo DS and we are letting him think this. This is the only thing we bought with our government money, they rest went towards debt. What can I say, we are suckers for this little guy!!!

(on a side note, it was only $34.99. I thought it was a bargain considering it was regularly $59.99)

When Derek's away....

I had to take Reese to the ER at 5am!

After 4 hours of non stop crying (screaming) and tugging at her ear I had no other choice. I am normally not one to use a hospital as a doctors office, but I really couldn't wait until Monday to take her in. I'm so glad I went. She had a double ear infection :( With absolutely no sign of it during the week either. She went from fine to miserable in a couple hours! Poor baby!! We still haven't caught up on the sleep we lost in the night, but at least she's not sad. Thank you to my mom for watching Mason while I took her in. Also, I was in and out of there in 1 hour!! I think that is a record time for an ER!

One more win...

Derek's team beat Inglemoor today! It's like a baseball roller coaster over here. Now he has to travel down to Vancouver to play a team from down there. If they win that game they are headed to state!!! He's going down with the team tomorrow (Friday) afternoon for a Saturday afternoon game. Derek's parents live down there so it would have been nice to take the kids down and watch the game, but I really don't want to drive down there alone, plus with the cost of gas it's probably a good idea to stay home this weekend. I'm hoping Derek's dad will keep me updated during the game!!!
GO KANGS!

I hate losing...

So, Derek's team lost last night. It sucked. They aren't completely out yet. They play tomorrow at 4pm against Inglemoor. The winner of that game will make it to districts in Vancouver on Saturday. We have beat Inglemoor once already this year, so hopefully we can do it again. Check out Derek's recap of the game here if you'd like to see how the game went down.

There is nothing like high school baseball

GO KANGS!!!!!
Who knew I would be so into high school baseball? With Derek being the Lake Washington head coach, I really have no choice. LW played in a loser out game last night. Woodinville was up 10-6 going into the bottom of the seventh. I (along with most of the fans) thought it was over, I even packed up the kids and got ready to go. LW managed to get 5 runs and came from behind to win 11-10! (Derek recaps it a lot better, check it out here.) I'm pretty sure I made a fool out of myself when they won. Anyway, they play Redmond tonight and the winner goes to the Kingco championship game. It isn't going to be an easy game. Redmond had the best record this year and was 2nd in state. GO LW!!!!
